Good to meet you

STORYTELLER

MIDDLE CHILD

OVER SHARER

BASED IN LOS ANGELES, CA. AVAILABLE FOR TRAVEL WORLDWIDE.

I love a good ordinary day. A day when my son climbs in bed with us way too early. A day of snuggles, meals, and friends. A day of parenting, of creating. And I document it all because time stops for no one.

I’m known for taking authentic, organic, storytelling photographs of people, whether they’re documenting this time for their family, getting married, or building a personal brand.  I am here for the big, celebratory days, and the ordinary ones.

In 2018, a photograph of mine placed in the international photography competition, The Documentary Family Awards and in 2023 I was chosen as one of the 10 best family photographers in Los Angeles by Giggster. My work has been featured in multiple online exhibitions and publications, including “Carry My Heart” in 2022 and in Harness Magazine.

Photographing families in Los Angeles has meant that I’ve had Oscar winners and household names in front of my camera, but I am equally honored by every single person who invites me into their home and their life. This type of work is intimate and vulnerable, and ultimately enjoyable and even transformational. It is my privilege to photograph you.

I am influenced by fine art photography, photo-journalism, and creative portraiture.

I am drawn to the intimate, the real, the expressive, over any kind of outside idea of perfection or what something is supposed to look like. I seek out what is beautiful in someone, in their life, their business, their day—and reflect that back to them.

A few more facts about me:

1. I have spent much of my life on camera, and in 2015 appeared in so many commercials that went viral that I was written up in AdAge. My time on camera and working with world class cinematographers has very much shaped my work behind the camera.

2. I grew up on a mountain top in Vermont. My younger sibling likes to say that we were raised by wolves, however, I was, in fact, very lucky in the parents department.

3. We had a darkroom in our house growing up and my father taught me how to develop my own film when I was a young kid. My first digital camera experience came much later, when my boyfriend (now husband) needed me to shoot stills for a film he was making in graduate school. I went on to study photography with some amazing teachers. Continuing to learn and grow creatively is one of my highest priorities.

Let’s talk about how I can help you through my work.
