Documenting a Day at Disneyland!
A family trip to Disneyland is a big deal. A plan it months ahead of time, squeals of delight from the kids at the announcement, leave you exhausted and happy at the end of it kind of a big deal. So you should have something to look back on other than just some slightly crushed mouse ears at the end of it all. Not only should you have photographs, but you should have photographs with everyone in them, not missing mom or dad or whoever the picture taker in your family is. I’m excited to say that I am now offering Disneyland Photography.
It was such a delight to spend six hours following around and documenting Alyssa and her family. Alyssa is an incredible photographer from Canada, and she knew that she wanted to be able to be fully present with her family during their trip and also to appear in the pictures herself. I met them at their Airbnb so that I could ride into the park with them, raced ahead again and again to see them from different angles and rode every ride to capture their expressions. We got family portraits in front of the castle, but we also got huge smiles on the teacups, light saber battles, a baby Darth Vader meeting storm troopers, some fear on a roller coaster, parents laughing together, and so much more.
