Personal Branding Photography for a Rebrand

Becca Gordon and I found each other at a perfect moment. She was in the midst of a major rebrand, shifting her career from being a doula to coaching and supporting parents in other ways, and needed imagery to support the marketing of these new endeavors.  One of the things I love the most with my personal branding photography clients is the discovery process. We meet and talk about everything from logos and brand colors, to what commonalities they have with their audiences and how they connect online. Through this process we come up with different stories that we are going to photograph, and map out how to create many months’ worth of imagery in one shoot. In Becca’s case, we landed on photographing her hosting a women’s circle, cooking, working one on one with clients, and with her family in nature.  All of this was carefully mapped out to fit into one day.

I’m so excited for Becca to be able to move away from stock photography in her materials to custom imagery, featuring herself and her clients, allowing visitors to her website and social media to see her face and begin the process of “know, like, and trust”.  Seeing her in action made it so clear that she is both immensely knowledgeable and deeply caring.  Branding photography gives me the opportunity to translate these less tangible qualities into imagery, so that her potential customers can learn this about her.
